Two Tribal Plans Approved by FEMA on Initial Review

FEMA approved the North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians and the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians Hazard Mitigation Plans on their initial review. The North Fork Rancheria is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The Torres Martinez Reservation is located in Coachella Valley adjacent to the Salton Sea. Each tribe faces the threat of wildfires, drought and high winds.
