HAZUS is the Federal Emergency Management Agency's methodology for estimating potential losses from disasters.
We have been using HAZUS since 1997 and incorporate it into many of our projects. HAZUS includes modesl for earthquake, hurricane and floods. We use it to determine losses from potential events, measure the benefit of mitigation actions and to graphically display impacts to populations and infrastructure.
USEHAZUS is an all HAZUS web space, developed and maintained by Jamie Caplan Consulting in response to the needs of the HAZUS user community. USEHAZUS encourages participation and hosts HAZUS User Group websites for free. Please send us information regarding your project, conference, or training event; the value of USEHAZUS grows with the accuracy and depth of its content.
